VEOC Seeks Communications & Outreach Coordinator!

The VEOC, a non-profit organization which promotes and fosters broad-based employee ownership of Vermont businesses, is looking for a multi-talented person to join our small team! Basic understanding of – and enthusiasm for – our mission is essential. Understanding of business and economic development, and experience in delivering presentations are desirable. 

As we are a small organization, this multi-talented person will wear many hats, with a key core responsibility being for overall communication and marketing duties, such as:

  • managing communications channels, including our social media, email list, and website;
  • writing and issuing press releases;
  • creating impactful story-telling media;
  • helping plan the content and logistical details of educational events;
  • promoting those events;
  • attending conferences and other networking events to promote our work; and
  • working with the Board and staff to increase the visibility of the VEOC and employee ownership in Vermont.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing and other communications skills.
  • Experience with marketing principles, promotional strategies, and social media.
  • At least 2 years related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 
  • Ability to work independently.

This position is 30-40 hours per week, depending on the desires of the applicant. The position can be performed mostly remotely, with a minimum of one day per week in our Burlington office required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting wage of $23-$25 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Paid Time Off, as well as 12 paid holidays.
