Michele Kupersmith Joins VEOC Team as Program & Outreach Coordinator

Burlington, Vermont, January 15, 2019  -- The Vermont Employee Ownership Center (VEOC) Co-Executive Directors, Don Jamison and Matt Cropp, announced Michele Kupersmith of South Burlington has joined the organization as Program & Outreach Coordinator. She will be responsible for the VEOC’s overall communication and marketing duties, helping the organization spread the word about employee ownership to business owners, employees and the general public.

“After receiving applications from many wonderful candidates, we’re extremely pleased to be welcoming Michele to the VEOC team. Her varied experience and deep knowledge of Vermont will be a valuable addition to our work increasing the profile of employee ownership in the Green Mountain State” said Co-E.D. Matt Cropp.

Kupersmith, Vermont native, served as State Representative for South Burlington four terms from 2005 to 2014, and, most recently, as Workforce Education and Training Coordinator under two Commissioners of Labor from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that she was engaged in workforce education and training programs and practiced law. A graduate of UVM and Vermont Law School, Kupersmith brings a lifetime of experience in workforce development, economic development, law, and public policy. Kupersmith has two grown children, Sam and Cy.  She spends her free time in the outdoors, skiing, hiking, biking, and boating.
